Law History and Theory Department

The Department's Chair is L.M. Rjabtsev, Ph.D. in Law, associate professor.

The Department was founded on September 1, 1998. Nowadays, the Department employs 9 faculty members; among them are 4 associate professors (Ph.D. in Law). The staff give classes in 14 disciplines of the Department's profile:

- General Law Theory,

- State and Law History of Belarus,

- State and Law History of Foreign Countries,

- State and Law History of Slavic Nations,

- History of Political and Jurisprudence Teachings,

- Sociology of Law, etc.

The main direction of scientific research is the the theory and the history of Law.
